The PGA Championship field next week at Valhalla includes everyone from the top 100 in the world. The list officially has Tiger Woods. And seven invitations have gone out to LIV Golf players. The PGA Championship tries to get the top 100 in the world to maintain its reputation as having the strongest field. Patrick Reed is No. 92 and he extends his streak of playing in every major since the 2014 Masters. Two spots are being held for winners of two PGA Tour events if they're not already eligible. The PGA Championship returns to Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky, for the fourth time on May 16-19.

The University of Kentucky senate has issued a vote of no confidence in President Eli Capilouto, but the school’s Board of Trustees issued a statement afterward saying it “unequivocally supports” him. The faculty entity took the symbolic vote on Monday after the Board of Trustees decided last month to change the role of the senate from one that makes policy to one that advises. The vote doesn’t necessarily result in action, but is symbolic of the faculty’s lack of trust in leadership. Board of Trustees Chair E. Britt Brockman said Capilouto was directed to examine the school’s regulations and the board overwhelming supports him.

The Boy Scouts of America is changing its name for the first time in its 114-year history. The Texas-based organization is announcing at its annual meeting in Florida on Tuesday that it will become Scouting America. It's a significant shift for the organization as it emerges from bankruptcy after a flood of sexual abuse claims, and focuses on including everyone after decades of turmoil. The organization steeped in tradition has made seismic changes, from finally allowing gay youth to welcoming girls throughout its ranks. CEO Roger Krone says the organization wants any youth in America to feel very, very welcome.

Pope Francis has appointed Reverend James Mark Beckman as Bishop of Knoxville, Tennessee, almost a year after the previous bishop resigned following claims he mishandled sex abuse allegations. Bishop-elect Beckman is a priest of the Diocese of Nashville where he has served as pastor of Saint Henry parish since 2015. He replaces Bishop Richard Stika who resigned last year after several of his priests complained about his leadership and behavior, sparking a Vatican investigation. In media interviews, Stika strongly defended his actions. The Vatican announced Beckman's appointment in its Tuesday noon bulletin. As is usual, the announcement made no mention of his predecessor.
